Imagine your greatest worries just a pebble on the path you walk
Easily forgotten and unnoticed
They bounce around, get pushed aside
And though one may get caught in your shoe,
They seem easier to deal with, temporarily to forever

Imagine your spirits walk high above you
They dance and sing the cheeriest of songs
And the most beautiful
They lift you up by the corners of your mouth
And keep you going

Imagine your head flowing with all your favorite music
Filling your soul with all different feelings
Even the saddest songs seem to keep you up
You walk feeling fresh with the music flowing through you
Like a cool stream that the sun

WithinA smile,
A laugh,
A hug.
A façade.

Within

A broken world,
A civil war,
A shattered soul,
Of its own destruction.

But further within

A full heart,
A true smile,
A happy me.
Waiting to shine.

Loving YouShining bright the stars look down
City lights in the distance
Nature's beauty up close
A cool night with a warm breeze
Brushing us as we kiss.
Your head on my shoulder
A beautiful face in the moonlight

Long our journey has been
And longer it will be
But through thick and thin
We both are there
To come back together
On this night

We've aged and we've grown
Since we first came together
We've loved and we've fought
We've struggled and we've glided
But after all this time
We find ourselves together again
Where some may grow apart
We seem to grow closer

A bumpy road
Of mixed emotions and feelings
For one another and for oth

But it hurts when you get angry
And you don't say why

You look at me in tears
Sometimes you almost shout
The frustration you bring upon me
The anger you bring out

I'm mad because I care
I want nothing more than to see you smile

My eyes tear at the seams
When you're sad
Rain clouds haunt my dreams

But when you laugh or smile
My lips curl up too
You still just make me so happy, I only wish I could express
How much I still love you.

My Mind Like A ShadowMy Mind Like A Shadow

Dark in the lightest of places
Visible and not
Ignored and forgotten
But still there
Following
Watching
Waiting
Building, one darkness on another
Growing
Until it overwhelms

There's a reason we're scared of the dark

At War With My Own Mind -poem-My head aches with its own actions
It throbs from its own beatings
Thoughts come and go without control
They are nothing but confusing and devastating
Ripping me apart
Throwing me around
It was so much simpler when it was all hate
Hate for myself
Every thought traced back to another fault
Another thing I thought was wrong with me
I believed I didn't deserve the air I breathe
The water I drink
The people that are forced to suffer with my existence in their life
It only got worse and worse
Until the light came from an unlikely source
She was warm and caring
She brought her own side to the fight
To change my mind for the better

Within (redone)An unnatural smile taking place,
Of one true but lost.
A joyless laugh seemingly real,
But unknowingly different.
Carefully displayed, a convincing facade
Few can see through.

Within,
A crumbled crying world,
Reaching not past the surface.
A raging war of civil encounter,
Relentlessly unforgiving and destructive.
A cowering bloody soul,
Shattered upon the foundation and spread foreign,
It is of its own devastation.

But further within,
A lovingly happily full heart,
The true smile that contagiously glimmers,
And a happy soul,
Waiting to shine through.

New SpringSo calm…
So cool…
The midnight air of new spring
Refreshes my lungs
As I watch the horizon

The woods just beginning to stir
The birds still quiet
Gentle noises mix
With gentle thoughts

The damp grass between my toes
And the cool rock at my back
Only to join
Clear feelings
And emotions

My strum is carried by the wind
So does the next
And the next
Followed by my quiet voice
Echoing in tune
As I sing to greet the season

Truly FreeIn this world as we know it
No human will ever be free
Truly free

Slavery is lessoned
But the past will forever haunt
Never free of bad memories
And still racism will haunt
Never will it end

Even in the façade of peace
We are not free
Judgment of others
Social standings and wealth
And being told what to do
Where to go
What to be

In our own homes
We're trapped from the start
The teachings and influence of those around us
Swaying our minds one way or another
Never will our thoughts be truly free

Imagine none of these restrictions
Are we yet free?
No
It still comes down to the basics of life
Our physical limitations
We

A New and Bright FriendshipIt's always been hard to explain my feelings
But right now I'm speechless
I've never thought I could care so much
So quickly
Yet here I am
Offering my help and support
No matter what.

Some of my darkest corners
Smile when I talk to you
My worries begin to fade
And my stomach feels warm
A new and bright friendship
I'm just glad I met you.

ThoughtsI'm so sick of not being perfect
I'm sick of hurting people
I'm tired of doing nothing right
I'm tired of holding back
Let me scream
Let me lash out
Let me show you the other side of me
And try telling me you still know me

Everything confined inside
It builds until I almost burst
My eyes grow heavy
My fingers claw at my arms
Tear out my hair
Twitch for the blade
I hold back
But I can only hold so much

Then I do it again
I screw up
I hurt
I break
And I fall again
Self-loathing is almost a comfort

I often wonder why
Why am I this way
Why am I messed up
Answers won't be found

I'm sick of hating myself
I'm sick of hidin

What is wrong with me?I'm a monster
I'm a freak
Save yourself
Stay away

I lash out
I break
I hurt
I'm sorry

I lost control
For one moment
Pushed over the edge
It was too much

I can't believe it
What is wrong with me?
How could I do this?
It won't happen again

But still stay away
Why not?
Why be near me?
What good is there to hold by?

Theres one light left
One candle
On the outside
To relight the others inside

Laugh, Love and LiveLaugh, Love and Live.

The only contagious and infectious cure.
Considered something natural and pure.

Uncontrollable but influential,
In times of need it is deemed essential.

We each have our own signature expression.
The ever lasting opposite to depression.

Known to provoke tears of delight.
Even when heaven seems out of sight.

Something that can lighten any situation.
It has the power to tighten and fuse any relation.

I was trying to fall asleep when this kinda came into mind... hope you all like
And who I kinda wrote it for, you know who you are, remember this poem. Cause I'm here for you, always, no matter what, and under no circumstance will i not be here if you need someone to come to, for any reason. you can come and complain about me for all I care. When I care, I care, and I dont abandon those feelings.
Going for anyone who reads this. If you need to talk, I check DA regularly, and I'm always open for it.

yah i guess id really care if people come to me or not cuz sometimes people have to make there own decisions but people come to me cuz they know im not gonna say anything to other people like if they told me a secret i dont say anything cuz ik if i was that person i wouldnt want it to be told same thing with problems when they come to me about them i dont talk about it to other people
