WithinA smile,
A laugh,
A hug.
A façade.

Within

A broken world,
A civil war,
A shattered soul,
Of its own destruction.

But further within

A full heart,
A true smile,
A happy me.
Waiting to shine.

Loving YouShining bright the stars look down
City lights in the distance
Nature's beauty up close
A cool night with a warm breeze
Brushing us as we kiss.
Your head on my shoulder
A beautiful face in the moonlight

Long our journey has been
And longer it will be
But through thick and thin
We both are there
To come back together
On this night

We've aged and we've grown
Since we first came together
We've loved and we've fought
We've struggled and we've glided
But after all this time
We find ourselves together again
Where some may grow apart
We seem to grow closer

A bumpy road
Of mixed emotions and feelings
For one another and for oth

Heart, Soul, MindA heart needs to dance
A soul needs to fly
A mind needs to flourish
The question is why

The heart for the sense
The soul for the rest
The mind is for thinking
Synced in one chest

The heart with the rest
The soul and the mind
Thoughts go with sense
Apart yet intertwined

What You Do To Me

Imagine your greatest worries just a pebble on the path you walk
Easily forgotten and unnoticed
They bounce around, get pushed aside
And though one may get caught in your shoe,
They seem easier to deal with, temporarily to forever

Imagine your spirits walk high above you
They dance and sing the cheeriest of songs
And the most beautiful
They lift you up by the corners of your mouth
And keep you going

Imagine your head flowing with all your favorite music
Filling your soul with all different feelings
Even the saddest songs seem to keep you up
You walk feeling fresh with the music flowing through you
Like a cool stream that the sun

Bleeding HeartAfter you left, I bathed in nonsense
The lies, the suffering,
The murmur, the awakening
My heart was overrun by pestilence.

You sit still in your room
Gazing the stars
Dreaming of wars
My heart is bleeding and shall die soon.

Lonely heart,
Lost in the gold
Bestowed upon by your eyes.

As when I see them I start to shake
My limbs freeze
My thawing heart,
A place like no other,
The cage of souls, of loves, of deadly gases

This toxic kiss,
These poisoned lips
I never touched…
Are stirring the same acid in me
Pugna's claw,
The last thing I saw…

The last thing I wrote in this poem without ending
Is of me, the poet,

Thank YouThank you for the joys that you gave me, friend;
I thank you for your smiles, which made me smile in return.

No, really, thanks for the promises of a friendship that'll never end--
Until death do us part.

I'll also credit you, fellow companion, for listening to me as I poured out my heart;
And even more, I can't express enough gratitude for your hugs.

Thanks for the sorrows
Which you'd shared with me as we exchanged our life's' incorrigible bugs.

I thank you for your fury as well;
For I never minded as you lashed out your angst
And the bitter words you'd yell

Because I know that you don't mea

You and mePromise me that you'll be true
And I'll promise the same thing two
There's no limit to the things I'll do
Just you and me and me and you

We can make it if we try
And sore above the midnight sky
I'll be with you till the day I die
Just me and you and you and I

Your the one I can always trust
My love for you won't turn to dust
Come with me, I know you must
It's only we, It's only us

I need you to fill my heart with glee
I'll stay with you, if you don't flee
My love can take you where the eyes can't see,
Just me and you and you and me

Because of YouThis love you've created
Such beauty within
The life of the hurting
Can finally end
My wings are now spreading
I fly in the wind
Your hand I am holding
My heart's on the mend
I know I am lucky
Because in this end
The darkness is broken
And light filters in

That i know you'll never notice
An ordinary passerbye
That drifts in and out of focus

I'm that quiet pale girl
That sits in the back of the room
And never speaks a word
That leaves people to assume

Because i'm nothing special
I'm not a beauty queen
Or a selfless giver
Or a heartless fiend

I'm just a little nothing
That will never even glow
Because i'm not a star
Nor am i the suns foe

Because I'm just me
Nothing unique or rare
An everyday girl
With nothing important to share

FailureI can't face
The disappointment in your eyes
I thought I'd be okay
Darling, I really tried

I sat there
My eyes burning
With tears of anger, self loathing
I can't even comprehend
What you'll say

I'm sorry for being a failure.

Neverlandwrite for children
because really
there are no adults

Blind BeautyI don't want you to ever have doubt about yourself
I love you just the way you are

Your eyes are just like two bright beautiful diamonds
They may not function, but they're sure pretty to look at

Sometimes you feel lost, and unsteady, like your going to fall
Take my hand, let me be everything you don't have

You're accustomed to seeing nothing but darkness
But when I see you all I can see is light

You shine on me in a way your eyes won't let you see
And I can't find the words to describe

Some people have perfectly good eyes
But can't see people suffer

With no eyesight at all, you can still see into my soul
You guided me through, no

Taking Things To HeartTaking Things to Heart.

Have you ever had the same problem critics?
Telling you your faults, forcing you to admit it?
Analysing your work till the point you wish you never did it?

Then forming and basing judgements on their observations.
Criticisms are hard to accept regardless of the relation.
Your first natural instinct is to defend your work through conversation.

It's not that their criticisms are not valid.
Sometimes I just take it as their refusing my talent.
This causes me to feel less confident and slightly off balance.

I respect any opinion that anyone has to offer.
Sometimes I just take it as if I'm being told of by my mo

What if?If you always wonder and never act,
you will never know the answer.
That question is different
for you than it is for me.

You think of something
that I've never done.
So the answer is different
for you than it is for me.

I am not the same as you
so I've done something else.
The experience is different
for you than it is for me.

I will always wonder
and so will you do too.
But the wonder is different
for you than it is for me.

HyperventilationDid you hear that?
Like Something Snapping into Pieces
Words ringing in my mind
Air coming in
Carbon Dioxide rushing out
Something Ruptured, I don't know what
I can't Stop, I can't Breathe
Not enough air
Did you hear that?
Like Something Ripping
Needles and pins Beneath my skin
Did you hear that?
Like Something Tearing up
Leeches writhing under my skin
Shards scattered throughout my chest
Of what was once Whole and Thriving
Throbbing with Passion; A Hole in my chest

The teachings and influence of those around us
Swaying our minds one way or another
Never will our thoughts be truly free

Imagine none of these restrictions
Are we yet free?

I Still Love You

I'm sorry I'm not perfect
I'm sorry I can only try
But it hurts when you get angry
And you don't say why

You look at me in tears
Sometimes you almost shout
The frustration you bring upon me
The anger you bring out

I'm mad because I care
I want nothing more than to see you smile
I just want to help
And believe me
I'll be here a while

When you cry
My eyes tear at the seams
When you're sad
Rain clouds haunt my dreams

But when you laugh or smile
My lips curl up too
You still just make me so happy, I only wish I could express
How much I still love you.
